Gorenja Lepa vas is a small settlement in the hills above the right bank of the river Sava in the Krško municipality in eastern Slovenia. The area was traditionally part of Lower Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Spodnjeposavska statistical region.[2]

The local church, built to the north of the settlement core, is dedicated to Saints Primus and Felician and belongs to the Sv. Duh - Veliki Trn parish. It is essentially a Romanesque building with a rectangular nave that was extended in 1836.[3]
